“Hire character. Train skill.” -Peter Schultz

We are looking for Duke students with a lot of character interested in what we feel is an invaluable skill. We think great design comes to fruition when people with unapologetic ideas and dreams are well versed in the human centered design process.

We are always looking for new characters. There are two ways for students to participate in DFA; they can either be project members or a DFAmily member. Project members are the core  of DFA and work to find problems in the community, design solutions, and implement their products. The DFAmily member organization are for those students that can’t quite make the time commitment of a project member but still want to be a part of DFA. They are welcome to any and all of our club events and meetings, and they can act as consultants to our project teams to provide a fresh perspective on projects. Finally, when DFA adds more project themes, we look to our DFAmily members first to staff those teams.
